Natalie Walters scored 8 points on the afternoon, with Sarah Ennett picking up 6, and Jessica Mahusky 4, to lead the Jaguars in scoring.
A 9-point second quarter gave St. Joe's a 9-8 lead at the half, with a good team defence holding the Raiders off the scoresheet more than they would have liked. RCI pushed hard coming out into the third frame, and a 10-point run put the score at 18-12 in favour of the home team. The game was put away by the blue and white in the fourth when they poured in 14 points, forcing and capitalizing on numerous defensive turnovers in the St. Joe's end, all in the time frame of a couple of minutes.
RCI moves on to play ADHS Tuesday in the UOVHSAA semi-final, with Bishop Smith taking on the winner of the Opeongo/Fellowes quarter-final. The Jaguars, as the only "A" Division team to qualify for the playoffs, will represent the county at the EOSSA championships in that division.
Information will be made available as soon as it's received.
